Noobies F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector-Luis Ledrado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Xaver Amenabar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Evis Lacalle, passed just outside the right post. Evis Lacalle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordarin Zarate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Xaver Amenabar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iraicha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Iraicha getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Calisto Postigo hit a great ball. Arnalt Morquecho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Reyes Pedros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reyes Pedros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnalt Morquecho in the 25th minute of the match. Xaver Amenabar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evis Lacalle having to interfere. If Cordarin Zarate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Cosme Besora notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Iraicha's Reyes Pedros. Reyes Pedros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Cosme Besora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Arnalt Morquecho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordarin Zarate in the 46th minute of play forced Noobies F.C.'s goalkeeper Evis Lacalle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Iraicha's Xaver Amenabar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evis Lacalle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnalt Morquecho to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Cordarin Zarate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evis Lacalle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Iraicha booed when Noobies F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector-Luis Ledrado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cordarin Zarate might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evis Lacalle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cordarin Zarate ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cordarin Zarate in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evis Lacalle saved Noobies F.C. from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Xaver Amenabar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iraicha's supporters rose to their feet, but Xaver Amenabar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evis Lacalle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cordarin Zarate came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Iraicha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cordarin Zarate couldn't finish the play. Evis Lacalle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calisto Postigo in the 73rd minute of play. If Arnalt Morquecho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnalt Morquecho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Evis Lacalle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaver Amenabar in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes, Clis Jorrin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Noobies F.C. and the Iraicha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Noobies F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Clis Jorrin.
