Spectators: 7859 (Terracing: 6008, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 10) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Santiago Piñeiros got the match started through his kick off. Taio Barroiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Txema Sañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 4 minutes into the game, Demesio Artime cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Txema Sañez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 7 minutes, Lekubegi Collado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kanashiro FC and the Cristal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kanashiro FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Lekubegi Collado hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Taio Barroiz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cristal's Txema Sañez. Txema Sañez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Demesio Artime took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Txema Sañez. Txema Sañez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Taio Barroiz came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Kanashiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taio Barroiz couldn't finish the play. Txema Sañez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taio Barroiz in the 24th minute of play. If Felix Largacha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taio Barroiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Richie Verga kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taio Barroiz in the 40th minute of play forced Cristal's goalkeeper Txema Sañez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felix Largacha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Demesio Artime made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Kanashiro FC's Taio Barroiz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Txema Sañez. That made the score 0-4 after 53 minutes of play. Txema Sañez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demesio Artime in the 59th minute of play. Ordono Bazan charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ordono Bazan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kanashiro FC booed when Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ordono Bazan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Felix Largacha came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Cristal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Largacha couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Demesio Artime's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Txema Sañez was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Ordono Bazan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Hermon Fontarigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Velasco Arnaez came free, but Txema Sañez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Txema Sañez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demesio Artime, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Txema Sañez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Taio Barroiz in the 80th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Mario Vielva put in a rough tackle. Hermon Fontarigo went to the wrong direction when Rocendo Fleytas was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Santiago Piñeiros struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Hermon Fontarigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cristal. Taio Barroiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Kanashiro FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kanashiro FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
