Honrio Andibidria came out of the goal and Felix Largacha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute Santiago Piñeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honrio Andibidria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Melendez FBC booed when Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dantae Veragua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melendez FBC's Baudelio Pozo got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Baudelio Pozo off the ground.
