In the 18th minute, Melendez FBC's Amato Alarcon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yoel Armas. Yoel Armas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Honrio Andibidria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Modino in the 24th minute of the match. Amato Alarcon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoel Armas having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Melendez FBC's Amato Alarcon in the 44th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Yoel Armas was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for JANCLARE through an amazing save. Chesus Gambo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Honrio Andibidria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Amato Alarcon made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chesus Gambo got free with Honrio Andibidria in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amato Alarcon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Yoel Armas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melendez FBC's Honrio Andibidria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Modino in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of JANCLARE booed when Melendez FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jago Sandianes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Chesus Gambo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amato Alarcon hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Chesus Gambo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Honrio Andibidria made a huge save. If Chesus Gambo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yoel Armas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinten Helica, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The JANCLARE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yoel Armas should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the game, Melendez FBC's Amato Alarcon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yoel Armas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Chesus Gambo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honrio Andibidria having to interfere. JANCLARE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
