Jaen Lambarri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonas Laviada. La Academia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Melendez FBC defense, Sein Godines kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Honrio Andibidria. The Melendez FBC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Honrio Andibidria should have stopped the shot. If Sein Godines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honrio Andibidria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sein Godines in the 22nd minute. Baudelio Pozo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Baudelio Pozo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Melendez FBC's Jago Sandianes got a free kick in the 26th minute. Santiago Velarroa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honrio Andibidria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, La Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Quinten Helica came free, but Jonas Laviada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sein Godines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Academia FC's Jonas Laviada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinten Helica in the 45th minute of play. Quinten Helica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jonas Laviada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Velarroa in the 58th minute of play forced Melendez FBC's goalkeeper Honrio Andibidria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amato Alarcon got free with Jonas Laviada in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sancho Cardeiro hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Santiago Velarroa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honrio Andibidria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sein Godines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Amato Alarcon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Laviada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melendez FBC's Quinten Helica was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 73rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sein Godines struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Honrio Andibidria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Academia FC. Santiago Velarroa succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Montrel Tendiero charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Montrel Tendiero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Melendez FBC booed when La Academia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montrel Tendiero didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Quinten Helica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 87 minutes, Amato Alarcon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melendez FBC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amato Alarcon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sein Godines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Honrio Andibidria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melendez FBC's Honrio Andibidria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Velarroa in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sein Godines in the 96th minute of play forced Melendez FBC's goalkeeper Honrio Andibidria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. La Academia FC had won after a very even match.
