After a defensive mix-up in Claretiano FC's zone, Eleder Mauriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santxol Espina came out of the goal and Eleder Mauriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rosio Cimbron might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santxol Espina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rosio Cimbron ran back to his position shaking his head. 47 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo ATE's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Nuncibay came free, but Baudelio Caravantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Baudelio Caravantes made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Roderigo Costeras sent off a good shot on target. Leopoldo Pieres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santxol Espina having to make a save. When Donio Cadiz fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo ATE's protests and gave Donio Cadiz a yellow card for diving instead. Eleder Mauriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 81 played minutes Claretiano FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted Gobantes. Donio Cadiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santxol Espina having to interfere. Roderigo Costeras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Baudelio Caravantes made a huge save. Rosio Cimbron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santxol Espina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosio Cimbron in the 97th minute of play. Leopoldo Pieres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Deportivo ATE were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
