The referee ignored ANILIQUILADOR's protests and gave Iraitz Amurrio a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Alianza Lima's Hats Chirinos tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Martinez Palacio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimeno Loarte. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ekain Abeitia managed to get in a good position for a shot. ANILIQUILADOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Ekain Abeitia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martinez Palacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alianza Lima's Martinez Palacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekain Abeitia in the 32nd minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gomez Almansa made a kick off.
