Spectators: 7996 (Terracing: 5998, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Serafo Minguez kicked off to start the match. Serafo Minguez scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Medero Lazaeta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pelagius Martinena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Medero Lazaeta came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Yanacachi's Serafo Minguez. But to his dismay, Serafo Minguez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 20 minutes of play, Ayacucho FC's Cordairo Antiñano made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justino Majua was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Ayacucho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pelagius Martinena came free, but Medero Lazaeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tab Sotuela fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ayacucho FC's protests and gave Tab Sotuela a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yanacachi booed when Ayacucho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tab Sotuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, Ayacucho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Mendoza to maneuver through the defense. Medero Lazaeta came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Yanacachi's Serafo Minguez. But to his dismay, Serafo Minguez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Serafo Minguez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Medero Lazaeta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Justino Majua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Telmo Romeo in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ayacucho FC's zone, Serafo Minguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Medero Lazaeta came out of the goal and Serafo Minguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godofredo Cuenca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Medero Lazaeta having to interfere. The Ayacucho FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yanacachi were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Otsoko Bardece made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Pelagius Martinena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Serafo Minguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Pelagius Martinena reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Medero Lazaeta. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 63rd minute Cordairo Antiñano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Majua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yanacachi's Justino Majua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otsoko Bardece in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Yanacachi's Serafo Minguez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Medero Lazaeta. Medero Lazaeta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Serafo Minguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yanacachi's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafo Minguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Medero Lazaeta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Serafo Minguez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Medero Lazaeta was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. When Yanacachi's Serafo Minguez in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Justino Majua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordairo Antiñano in the 82nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Yanacachi's Medero Lazaeta threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serafo Minguez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Medero Lazaeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafo Minguez in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Oxarra Igay suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of Yanacachi booed when Ayacucho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tab Sotuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Giron's late challenge caught a Ayacucho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Giron helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Yanacachi's Teodoro Giron got a free kick in the 94th minute. Yanacachi played a much better game than Ayacucho FC and deserved their victory. The Ayacucho FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
