Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reynaldo Arza started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bidari Jaimes in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cortez Caceres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Botuayoc's zone, Reynaldo Arza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cortez Caceres came out of the goal and Reynaldo Arza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cortez Caceres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Arza in the 10th minute of play. Cortez Caceres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Arza, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Bidari Jaimes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bidari Jaimes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cortez Caceres having to interfere. Reynaldo Arza struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Cortez Caceres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yocape. Botuayoc's Cortez Caceres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bidari Jaimes in the 32nd minute of play. After 37 played minutes Botuayoc got a freekick which was hit by Renaldo Valino. After 40 minutes Botuayoc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Viator Moyeda who took care of the corner kick. Yocape's Viator Moyeda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cortez Caceres in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valerio Taviel in the 47th minute of play forced Yocape's goalkeeper Caitano Esquide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Caitano Esquide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valerio Taviel, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Bidari Jaimes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yocape's supporters rose to their feet, but Bidari Jaimes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cortez Caceres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Arza in the 61st minute of play forced Botuayoc's goalkeeper Cortez Caceres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo Arza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Botuayoc's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Arza came free, but Cortez Caceres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caitano Esquide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valerio Taviel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Botuayoc's goalkeeper Cortez Caceres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bidari Jaimes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Arza got free with Cortez Caceres in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Botuayoc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reynaldo Arza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 81st minute, Valerio Taviel made a precise shot to the right of Caitano Esquide. Yocape's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 87 minutes, Nerio Hostos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botuayoc and the Yocape players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Yocape booed when Botuayoc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nerio Hostos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bidari Jaimes got free with Cortez Caceres in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reynaldo Arza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cortez Caceres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Reynaldo Arza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Botuayoc were victorious despite being under pressure from Yocape for much of the match.
