A collision led to AFC Wolfs getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Silvano Olave hit a great ball. Hulberto Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bidun Turiel in the 12th minute of the match. The AFC Wolfs fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when AFC Wolfs's Ordono Masses looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Ordono Masses put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Martinez Palacio. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ordono Masses in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martinez Palacio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulino Migolla hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 37 minutes in the game, Ordono Masses dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 38th match minute, AFC Wolfs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isadoro Ballugera to maneuver through the defense. If Bidun Turiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Bidun Turiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hulberto Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bidun Turiel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Alianza Lima's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Alianza Lima players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AFC Wolfs were winning 0-2.

After 63 minutes, Teofilo Pereña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Wolfs and the Alianza Lima players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes AFC Wolfs got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Pereña. 65 minutes into the match, Bidun Turiel notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of AFC Wolfs's Hulberto Dias. Hulberto Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 68 minutes of play, AFC Wolfs's Ordono Masses made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martinez Palacio was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 81 in the game by Ordono Masses from a close distance when the talented Martinez Palacio managed to make a qualified save. Alianza Lima's players were relieved. In the 88th match minute, Alianza Lima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bidun Turiel to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Rodolfo Suazo managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Wolfs's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Suazo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martinez Palacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, AFC Wolfs's Ordono Masses sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martinez Palacio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, AFC Wolfs's goal looked a bit too open when Bidun Turiel came free, but Hulberto Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martinez Palacio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ordono Masses, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Alianza Lima's zone, Ordono Masses stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinez Palacio came out of the goal and Ordono Masses tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AFC Wolfs's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
