Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fortunato Uquillas kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, AC Milan's Heli Belber got control of the ball when Intxixu Quicedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, Alianza Lima's goal looked a bit too open when Columbo Madama came free, but Osvaldo Olazaran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Alianza Lima getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jacinto Merida hit a great ball. Columbo Madama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Heli Belber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Uquillas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Aztore Ceron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alianza Lima fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 21st minute, Aztore Ceron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matias Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Olazaran having to interfere. Heli Belber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Uquillas in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Matias Nuñez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Olazaran was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Matias Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matias Nuñez made a kick off. Fortunato Uquillas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heli Belber having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Matias Nuñez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. AC Milan's Heli Belber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Uquillas in the 64th minute of play. Osvaldo Olazaran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Nuñez in the 66th minute of the match. Osvaldo Olazaran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Nuñez's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Osvaldo Olazaran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Matias Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Osvaldo Olazaran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Olazaran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Columbo Madama's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute of the match, Matias Nuñez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Osvaldo Olazaran saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Osvaldo Olazaran was a little too slow when Matias Nuñez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-1. Heli Belber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Uquillas, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Matias Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AC Milan were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
