Club Alianza Lima's Xavieon Estopinal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignado Turiel in the 12th minute of play. If Ignado Turiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cordeal Bolonga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diego Tineo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marin Basel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play.
