The coaching staff of Deportivo Acari protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Seme Usarralde had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 79th minute, one of Deportivo Acari:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo Acari. Havier Janez shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Derwin Legaspe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cordario Letran's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Larpe Maquilanda got free with Aresti Solis in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 94 minutes, Froilan Errasti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Acari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Froilan Errasti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cordario Letran in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derwin Legaspe saved Deportivo Acari from getting behind. Mirmidones's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
