The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castel Torrecillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Faas Maestri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Calles during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pearl Jam getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Honorato Calles hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Castel Torrecillas in the 14th minute of play forced Pearl Jam's goalkeeper Faas Maestri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Odon Sarabia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Baiona Pinillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faas Maestri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brion Pont blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Maquilanda having to make a save. 22 minutes into the game, Sengrat Ogero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sergio Maquilanda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Baiona Pinillas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Hoyon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faas Maestri having to interfere. Maximino Hoyon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Castel Torrecillas made the kick off in the second half. When Hori Enebro came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Club Alianza Lima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hori Enebro couldn't finish the play. When Baiona Pinillas fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Alianza Lima's protests and gave Baiona Pinillas a yellow card for diving instead. Baiona Pinillas hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Elija Ledrado took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Maquilanda. Sergio Maquilanda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Hori Enebro hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Hori Enebro came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Club Alianza Lima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hori Enebro couldn't finish the play. Sergio Maquilanda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brion Pont went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Elija Ledrado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Maquilanda having to interfere. Baiona Pinillas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faas Maestri having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Baiona Pinillas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Alianza Lima's supporters rose to their feet, but Baiona Pinillas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faas Maestri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Club Alianza Lima defense, Elija Ledrado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergio Maquilanda. The Club Alianza Lima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Maquilanda should have stopped the shot. Elija Ledrado struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sergio Maquilanda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pearl Jam.
