Fernendo Traspalacios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lano Montoto having to interfere. Lano Montoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edwardo Olivieri's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ornopampa's zone, Fernendo Traspalacios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lano Montoto came out of the goal and Fernendo Traspalacios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwardo Olivieri in the 32nd minute of play forced Ornopampa's goalkeeper Lano Montoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernendo Traspalacios might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lano Montoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernendo Traspalacios ran back to his position shaking his head. 41 minutes into the game, Sanson Chirivoga lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Louis Felix. When Ricart Trielles fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hood FC's protests and gave Ricart Trielles a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hood FC's Ricart Trielles got a free kick in the 46th minute. Afonso Licon, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Edwardo Olivieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lano Montoto having to interfere. Lano Montoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwardo Olivieri in the 76th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Edwardo Olivieri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lano Montoto was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Louis Felix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sanson Chirivoga in the 81st minute of play. Jacindo Dueñas struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute.
