Cordeiro Sanguino's late challenge caught a Pearl Jam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cordeiro Sanguino helped the player get up and apologised. Cordeiro Sanguino kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. César Cueto charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed César Cueto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pearl Jam! An unexpectedly hard shot by Brion Pont in the 18th minute of play forced Ornopampa's goalkeeper Lano Montoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brion Pont struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Lano Montoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pearl Jam. After 21 minutes of play, Pearl Jam's Elija Ledrado made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lano Montoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute of the match, Elija Ledrado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lano Montoto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Faas Maestri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacindo Dueñas in the 28th minute of the match. If Jacindo Dueñas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Sengrat Ogero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Licon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Faas Maestri. Pearl Jam's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pearl Jam's zone, Sanson Chirivoga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faas Maestri came out of the goal and Sanson Chirivoga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48thth minute of the game Jacindo Dueñas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pearl Jam's Faas Maestri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacindo Dueñas to strike the kick off in the second half. Afonso Licon hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Brion Pont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lano Montoto having to interfere. A collision led to Pearl Jam getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Bitxintxo Relloso hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Telmo Letatu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sanson Chirivoga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Faas Maestri firmly grabbed it by the left post. Lano Montoto came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Pearl Jam's Elija Ledrado. But to his dismay, Elija Ledrado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Lano Montoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brion Pont in the 79th minute of the match. Elija Ledrado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lano Montoto having to interfere. Ornopampa's Lano Montoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brion Pont in the 92nd minute of play. Jacindo Dueñas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faas Maestri having to interfere. Ornopampa's Jacindo Dueñas got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pearl Jam's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
