Maximino Hoyon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Lano Montoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sanson Chirivoga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st match minute, Club Alianza Lima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grabiel Queiruga to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Club Alianza Lima's Hori Enebro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lano Montoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Ornopampa's Jacindo Dueñas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sergio Maquilanda. That made the score 1-1 after 29 minutes of play. Sergio Maquilanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordeiro Sanguino in the 32nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Club Alianza Lima defense, Cordeiro Sanguino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergio Maquilanda. The Club Alianza Lima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Maquilanda should have stopped the shot. When Baiona Pinillas came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Club Alianza Lima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baiona Pinillas couldn't finish the play. Castel Torrecillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Lano Montoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baiona Pinillas struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Lano Montoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Alianza Lima. If Castel Torrecillas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castel Torrecillas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lano Montoto having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Maximino Hoyon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Alianza Lima's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Hoyon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Baiona Pinillas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergio Maquilanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacindo Dueñas in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordeiro Sanguino in the 62nd minute of play forced Club Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Sergio Maquilanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Castel Torrecillas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Alianza Lima's supporters rose to their feet, but Castel Torrecillas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lano Montoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Castel Torrecillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Lano Montoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baiona Pinillas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lano Montoto came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Alianza Lima's Baiona Pinillas. But to his dismay, Baiona Pinillas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Baiona Pinillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Lano Montoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Maquilanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sanson Chirivoga in the 93rd minute of play. Ornopampa succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Club Alianza Lima had controlled the match.
