Ambrosio Marentos was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of FC Pachacute!!! booed when Universitario FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pachacute!!!'s goalkeeper Fero Aguiriano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Cruz Ochandiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Universitario FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cruz Ochandiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fero Aguiriano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Pachacute!!!'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Aribau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
