The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Quintin Atauri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Cordaro Donallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillem Concha having to interfere. If Micael Espin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milian Mirantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quintin Atauri in the 27th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Micael Espin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Milian Mirantes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Norberto Baelo fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Union Universitario's protests and gave Norberto Baelo a yellow card for diving instead. 37 minutes into the match, FC Union Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Cordaro Donallo came free, but Guillem Concha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Perfecto Rieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Guillem Concha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Perfecto Rieta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Union Universitario's Guillem Concha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quintin Atauri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Perfecto Rieta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Guillem Concha made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Perfecto Rieta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillem Concha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. FC Union Universitario's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cordaro Donallo 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Union Universitario's goalkeeper Guillem Concha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Norberto Baelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Perfecto Rieta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salinas FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Perfecto Rieta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillem Concha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cordaro Donallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Guillem Concha made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micael Espin in the 83rd minute of play forced Salinas FBC's goalkeeper Milian Mirantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Union Universitario's goalkeeper Guillem Concha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Quintin Atauri came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC Union Universitario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quintin Atauri couldn't finish the play. Cordaro Donallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillem Concha having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Salinas FBC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
