The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Fernado Afonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernado Afonso in the 18th minute of play forced Salinas FBC's goalkeeper Milian Mirantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xepe Zuñiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Milian Mirantes having to make a save. Salinas FBC's Milian Mirantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Salinas FBC from getting a goal against them. Pumachuco's Fernado Afonso got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xepe Zuñiga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Milian Mirantes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Salinas FBC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Txaran Boldu hit a great ball. If Xepe Zuñiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Fernado Afonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xepe Zuñiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Milian Mirantes made a huge save. Xepe Zuñiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Milian Mirantes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 39th match minute, Salinas FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sendoa Aceituno to maneuver through the defense. Milian Mirantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernado Afonso in the 40th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernado Afonso to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Pumachuco's zone, Perfecto Rieta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cordaro Donallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maule Lazo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Perfecto Rieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekain Severino having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Salinas FBC's zone, Fernado Afonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milian Mirantes came out of the goal and Fernado Afonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the game, Oihan Ugartondo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pumachuco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salinas FBC the free kick. Cordaro Donallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordaro Donallo in the 94th minute of play forced Pumachuco's goalkeeper Ekain Severino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pumachuco fully deserved thier win.
