The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some careless play in the Salinas FBC defense, Esiquio Gallegos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milian Mirantes. The Salinas FBC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milian Mirantes should have stopped the shot. MELGAR FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Esiquio Gallegos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milian Mirantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teodoro Banegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordaro Donallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salinas FBC's Cordaro Donallo got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MELGAR FBC made a substitution. Fernanco Dolarea replaced Taio Bobis. Perfecto Rieta's late challenge caught a MELGAR FBC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perfecto Rieta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Salinas FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perfecto Rieta to maneuver through the defense. Salinas FBC's Milian Mirantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Salinas FBC from getting a goal against them. MELGAR FBC played a much better game than Salinas FBC and deserved their victory. The Salinas FBC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
