Guillem Concha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matai Callergos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Micael Espin struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Chus Mujica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Union Universitario. In the 24th minute, Matai Callergos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillem Concha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Micael Espin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, FC Union Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Matai Callergos came free, but Guillem Concha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Karmel Burdeos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marin Coleira in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillem Concha saved FC Union Universitario from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in FC Union Universitario's zone, Matai Callergos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillem Concha came out of the goal and Matai Callergos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marin Coleira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of mundo de evas booed when FC Union Universitario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karmel Burdeos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
