In the 7th minute Havier Valcuende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benino Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mincho Sierra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Playo Cavero made a huge save. Mincho Sierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Playo Cavero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feo Cases, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The long shot by Gaspar Tordomar in the 13th minute really tested Playo Cavero's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Playo Cavero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mincho Sierra. Gaspar Tordomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Playo Cavero having to interfere. Benino Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Havier Valcuende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alianza Lima's Havier Valcuende got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Alianza Lima's goal looked a bit too open when Feo Cases came free, but Playo Cavero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mincho Sierra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Playo Cavero made a huge save. After having played for 43 minutes, Gaspar Tordomar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Letizia AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Tordomar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Havier Valcuende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benino Cordoba having to interfere.

The wind increased when Austin Bebias made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Tordomar in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Playo Cavero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Alianza Lima booed when Deportivo Letizia AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bingen Cisquella didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Mincho Sierra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Playo Cavero was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Playo Cavero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Tordomar in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mincho Sierra in the 66th minute of play forced Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Playo Cavero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Gaspar Tordomar made a precise shot to the right of Playo Cavero. Alianza Lima's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Alianza Lima's Playo Cavero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mincho Sierra in the 73rd minute of play. Playo Cavero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Tordomar's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. If Mincho Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Playo Cavero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mincho Sierra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Stephen Mendana came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Deportivo Letizia AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Mendana couldn't finish the play. In the 87thth minute of the game Mincho Sierra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alianza Lima's Playo Cavero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gaizka Ucero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Letizia AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaizka Ucero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Playo Cavero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Alianza Lima's Havier Valcuende got a free kick in the 92nd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportivo Letizia AC fully deserved thier win.
