When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mincho Sierra sped through Chacarita Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matia Frances. Pedroso Brufau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Benino Cordoba made a huge save. If Mincho Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Napier Clemente elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Gaizka Ucero came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Deportivo Letizia AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaizka Ucero couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Mincho Sierra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Letizia AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 36th match minute, Deportivo Letizia AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feo Cases to maneuver through the defense. After 69 played minutes Chacarita Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Iturri Arcas. If Pedroso Brufau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedroso Brufau in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benino Cordoba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mincho Sierra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matia Frances firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 79th minute, Napier Clemente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deportivo Letizia AC's Benino Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Larrauri in the 81st minute of play. If Mincho Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
