Spectators: 8006 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 160) Hungurahue FC's Marciano Ruete started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xurxo Louzara charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xurxo Louzara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Demario Beguellina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Hormaza having to interfere. If Bibiano Guanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hungurahue FC's zone, Artemio Arnedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bonifaco Toraño came out of the goal and Artemio Arnedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bonifaco Toraño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Arnedo in the 27th minute of play. Bibiano Guanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifaco Toraño having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Artemio Arnedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quimariari's supporters rose to their feet, but Artemio Arnedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bonifaco Toraño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Artemio Arnedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliazar Logares hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match Reyes Matias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bonifaco Toraño showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Hungurahue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bibiano Guanes came free, but Bonifaco Toraño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Marciano Ruete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeronimo Hormaza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artemio Arnedo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 68 played minutes Hungurahue FC got a freekick which was hit by Demario Beguellina. Bibiano Guanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bonifaco Toraño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hungurahue FC's Eliazar Logares got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 72 played minutes Hungurahue FC got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Ruete. Bonifaco Toraño made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bibiano Guanes in the 74th minute. Demario Beguellina scored 2-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeronimo Hormaza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute of the match Xosepe Septiem sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeronimo Hormaza skillfully saved the ball. Marciano Ruete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Hormaza having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Marciano Ruete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quimariari's Jeronimo Hormaza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hungurahue FC had won after a very even match.
