Austin Bebias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xuan Ligero having to make a save. If Salomone Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Macacona FC's Niguel Alamos got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Salomone Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Salomone Macedo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Alianza Lima's Playo Cavero. Playo Cavero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

52 minutes into the match, Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Playo Cavero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salomone Macedo. When Salomone Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Macacona FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salomone Macedo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 58 minutes, Anton Saz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macacona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Saz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Macacona FC's zone, Austin Bebias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xuan Ligero came out of the goal and Austin Bebias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Alianza Lima booed when Macacona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Saz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Anton Saz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salomone Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Playo Cavero having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play, Alianza Lima's Havier Valcuende made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xuan Ligero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the match, Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Playo Cavero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salomone Macedo. Playo Cavero was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Anton Saz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anton Saz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austin Bebias in the 94th minute of play forced Macacona FC's goalkeeper Xuan Ligero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Playo Cavero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Saz in the 97th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Macacona FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
