The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifaco Toraño prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Elija Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bonifaco Toraño was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Elija Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifaco Toraño having to interfere. Demario Beguellina in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ofelio Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Demario Beguellina had several of the Real Lima's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ofelio Brito as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hungurahue FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Lima had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
