But to his dismay, Pedroso Brufau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 17th minute, Ponce Creus made a precise shot to the right of Matia Frances. Chacarita Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napier Clemente in the 25th minute of play forced urba3's goalkeeper Rioja Cabarcos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Chacarita Juniors's Rioja Cabarcos threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Napier Clemente, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Iban Idiaquez came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the urba3 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iban Idiaquez couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedroso Brufau got free with Rioja Cabarcos in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Napier Clemente in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rioja Cabarcos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 3-1 became the score in the 44th minute when Napier Clemente elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Pedroso Brufau shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rioja Cabarcos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedroso Brufau's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Rioja Cabarcos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedroso Brufau, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Pedroso Brufau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Rioja Cabarcos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Pedroso Brufau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rioja Cabarcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iban Idiaquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
