Evaristo Raigal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Besosa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Cueva in the 6th minute of play forced Lucas FBC's goalkeeper Joaquim Besosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Feyjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haimar Rionda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Besosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Cueva's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. If Evaristo Raigal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Aloisio Elejalde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Piñeros kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Bidari Barril sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lucas FBC's Joaquim Besosa didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in FC Alianza Lima's zone, Haimar Rionda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Feyjo came out of the goal and Haimar Rionda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Eudoxio Carral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucas FBC's Eudoxio Carral got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Haimar Rionda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaristo Raigal to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Eudoxio Carral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Alianza Lima's Erubiel Feyjo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquim Besosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Raigal, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Evaristo Raigal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haimar Rionda in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erubiel Feyjo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erubiel Feyjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eudoxio Carral in the 83rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Eudoxio Carral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lucas FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eudoxio Carral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erubiel Feyjo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haimar Rionda in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erubiel Feyjo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 87 played minutes FC Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Aritza Pandilla. The FC Alianza Lima supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Alianza Lima would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
