Loco Elzuardi kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Jobo Requena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Lluis Saracha made a huge save. When Aurre Vinyals fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blind Knights's protests and gave Aurre Vinyals a yellow card for diving instead. Jobo Requena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Jobo Requena made a precise shot to the right of Lluis Saracha. Blind Knights's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lidon Ali in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lluis Saracha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the match, Blind Knights's goalkeeper Lluis Saracha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jobo Requena. Blind Knights's Lluis Saracha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lidon Ali in the 40th minute of play. If Jobo Requena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Lidon Ali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lluis Saracha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lidon Ali stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blind Knights's Lluis Saracha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bakar Clavo in the 53rd minute of play. Galo Artiz's late challenge caught a Guayaquil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Galo Artiz helped the player get up and apologised. Galo Artiz kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Omero Moraina shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lluis Saracha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jobo Requena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lidon Ali succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. When Lidon Ali came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Guayaquil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lidon Ali couldn't finish the play. Lluis Saracha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lidon Ali's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Lidon Ali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lluis Saracha having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jobo Requena in the 82nd minute of play forced Blind Knights's goalkeeper Lluis Saracha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Blind Knights's zone, Jobo Requena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lluis Saracha came out of the goal and Jobo Requena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Guayaquil FC's Lidon Ali sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lluis Saracha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jobo Requena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jobo Requena in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lluis Saracha saved Blind Knights from getting behind.
