In the 18th match minute, Universitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benat Fasgar to maneuver through the defense. Desprecio's Angelino Fuenmayor couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The supporters of Universitario booed when Desprecio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Lagunilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. The coaching staff of Desprecio protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angelino Fuenmayor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Desprecio:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Universitario:s goal. The referee gave Universitario a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arixo Soret, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Desprecio's Pepe Bas. 1-0. After having played for 73 minutes, Ezequiel Buergo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Universitario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Buergo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pepe Bas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pietro Calvillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vito Lagunilla during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Desprecio getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Vito Lagunilla hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Urbasa Cicero got a free kick in the 91st minute. When Ezequiel Buergo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Universitario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Buergo couldn't finish the play. Universitario's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
