With a little luck, Amailayo's Sugar Piedeconcha got control of the ball when Gregory Iturralde tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Amailayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Buisan to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th match minute, FC Cesamica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Alvarellos to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, FC Cesamica's goal looked a bit too open when Xaiver Astozas came free, but Isadoro Villarmerin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mercurio Yunibarbia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sugar Piedeconcha having to interfere. Gregory Iturralde might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sugar Piedeconcha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gregory Iturralde ran back to his position shaking his head. Gregory Iturralde was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sugar Piedeconcha made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Gregory Iturralde sent off a good shot on target. Blasi Sorribes might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isadoro Villarmerin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blasi Sorribes ran back to his position shaking his head. Isadoro Villarmerin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaiver Astozas in the 43rd minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xaiver Astozas to strike the kick off in the second half. Mede Barrantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xaiver Astozas got free with Isadoro Villarmerin in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xaiver Astozas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Isadoro Villarmerin made a huge save. Amailayo made a substitution. Tano Conchas replaced Mede Barrantes. Amailayo's Sugar Piedeconcha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregory Iturralde in the 66th minute of play. If Xaiver Astozas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tano Conchas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elodio Ontaneda made in the 71st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nevada Montoto immediately put the ball in play. FC Cesamica's Isadoro Villarmerin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xaiver Astozas in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Cesamica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santiago Villafane was slow to take the kick. During this time Amailayo's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Lucas Buisan drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind FC Cesamica's goalkeeper. Gregory Iturralde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gregory Iturralde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sugar Piedeconcha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregory Iturralde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Amailayo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Amailayo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
