The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorino Mathey got free with Nelio Camba in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gorbea Ceballo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Victorino Mathey succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 14th playminute. alianza all stars's Nelio Camba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save alianza all stars from getting a goal against them. If Victorino Mathey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelio Camba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Amocia in the 28th minute of play. Haroldo Llama placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! A collision led to alianza all stars getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Gorbea Ceballo hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Haroldo Llama managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Llama was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute Oriol Bengolea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelio Camba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Nelio Camba throw himself and got hold of the ball when Leo Amocia in the 43rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leo Amocia to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Sporting Nacional's Leo Amocia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelio Camba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When alianza all stars's Xorxe Carabajal in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Sporting Nacional getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Beltxe Zamudio hit a great ball. Cordarius Luan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sandaili Varas. Sporting Nacional's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Beltxe Zamudio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Elazar Lavijo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandaili Varas. Elazar Lavijo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Nelio Camba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Mathey in the 77th minute of play. Nelio Camba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Amocia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Mathey struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Nelio Camba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Nacional. Nelio Camba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Amocia in the 89th minute of play. Elazar Lavijo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sandaili Varas came out and tried to block the shot, but Elazar Lavijo slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 90th minute. When Waldir Oromi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Sporting Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Oromi couldn't finish the play. Sporting Nacional walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
