In the 26th minute, Atletico Grau's Urbasa Barbari ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matthy Sommers. Matthy Sommers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Balkes FC's Claudio Pizarro got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urbasa Barbari in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthy Sommers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atletico Grau's Urbasa Barbari got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Balkes FC's Claudio Pizarro got a free kick in the 36th minute. Matthy Sommers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbasa Barbari's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Claudio Pizarro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomiro Abascal. Atletico Grau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Pizarro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Reimundo Nobajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Baldomiro Abascal made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Reimundo Nobajas sent off a good shot on target. Nabar Trueba took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthy Sommers. Matthy Sommers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 56 minutes into the match, Atletico Grau's goalkeeper Baldomiro Abascal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reimundo Nobajas. The corner led Balkes FC's Claudio Pizarro to a score. 3-2 in the 63rd minute. Juango Carranza hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 68 minutes, Estebe Larrieta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Grau and the Balkes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Atletico Grau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Estebe Larrieta to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Balkes FC's Mikeldi Barzana got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 84 played minutes, Atletico Grau's Urbasa Barbari shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matthy Sommers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atletico Grau reached it. Reimundo Nobajas kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 87thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Atletico Grau's keeper Baldomiro Abascal was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. When Atletico Grau's Urbasa Barbari in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balkes FC's goalie prevented a goal. Atletico Grau were furious when Vitaliy Alov was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Atletico Grau:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Balkes FC:s goal. Atletico Grau:s Baldomiro Abascal showed great skill when he stopped Wim Roose:s penalty. 95 minutes into the match, Atletico Grau's Nabar Trueba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matthy Sommers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mazuste Cubillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atletico Grau's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
