Matthy Sommers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maureo Royo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandaili Coleira during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Huanchaco's Sandaili Coleira got a free kick in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Balkes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maureo Royo came free, but Matthy Sommers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Balkes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafo Resco came free, but Matthy Sommers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Hermon Trelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huanchaco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermon Trelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Reimundo Nobajas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arixo Andaltia. Reimundo Nobajas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Sandaili Coleira hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Maureo Royo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balkes FC's Matthy Sommers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maureo Royo in the 34th minute of play forced Balkes FC's goalkeeper Matthy Sommers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Huanchaco's Tadzio Maceira got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Balkes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoil Giralte to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Claudio Pizarro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balkes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Pizarro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arixo Andaltia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Claudio Pizarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balkes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some careless play in the Balkes FC defense, Serafo Resco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matthy Sommers. The Balkes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthy Sommers should have stopped the shot. Maureo Royo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arixo Andaltia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Pizarro in the 66th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Balkes FC got a freekick which was hit by Reimundo Nobajas. After a defensive mix-up in Balkes FC's zone, Maureo Royo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthy Sommers came out of the goal and Maureo Royo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sandaili Coleira came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Huanchaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandaili Coleira couldn't finish the play. Arixo Andaltia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reimundo Nobajas, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteve Zubiaga during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Huanchaco getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Esteve Zubiaga hit a great ball. Claudio Pizarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arixo Andaltia having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Maureo Royo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matthy Sommers. The referee ignored Balkes FC's protests and gave Zoil Giralte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Reimundo Nobajas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maureo Royo in the 93rd minute of play forced Balkes FC's goalkeeper Matthy Sommers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Huanchaco were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Balkes FC to leave the ground with a draw.
