With an all-out effort, Metafez F.C.'s Wieslaw Purzycki threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafe Imaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beti Corniero got free with Wieslaw Purzycki in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Enekoitz Failde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 85 played minutes Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Borja. Metafez F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
