When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Lorenzo Almendras took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Xosepin Ubidea to make any attempt to save it. In the 14th match minute, Metafez F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Jubitero to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Metafez F.C.'s goalkeeper Xosepin Ubidea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panfilo Negro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beti Corniero in the 31st minute of play forced Quenualca's goalkeeper Carolo Aries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beti Corniero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Carolo Aries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafe Imaz in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carolo Aries saved Quenualca from getting behind. Lorenzo Almendras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xosepin Ubidea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Almendras, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lorenzo Almendras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carolo Aries took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafe Imaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Benicio Tarrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quenualca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Metafez F.C. the free kick. Benicio Tarrero kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Carolo Aries made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beti Corniero in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Evaristo Jubitero sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Carolo Aries threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Evaristo Jubitero this time. The Metafez F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metafez F.C.'s goalkeeper Xosepin Ubidea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
