After a defensive mix-up in EMALSAC F.C's zone, Lando Maeda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leobardo Bezanilla came out of the goal and Lando Maeda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leobardo Bezanilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerrold Camison in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Sundström in the 9th minute of play forced S.M.O PAITA's goalkeeper Yuri Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led EMALSAC F.C's Olaf Horst to fire away a dangerous shot which Yuri Quirino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 13th minute Jimmy Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leobardo Bezanilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ivar Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Horst in the 17th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Olaf Horst had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yuri Quirino. S.M.O PAITA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olaf Horst was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Ivar Sundström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EMALSAC F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to EMALSAC F.C getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Transito Sicilia hit a great ball. In the 31st minute S.M.O PAITA were awarded a corner. Rico Alfebra went to the cornerflag to take it. When Edmundo Calero fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EMALSAC F.C's protests and gave Edmundo Calero a yellow card for diving instead. German Galban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Yuri Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ivar Sundström made the kick off in the second half. Ivar Sundström charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivar Sundström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ivar Sundström hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olaf Horst during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to EMALSAC F.C getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Transito Sicilia hit a great ball. Leobardo Bezanilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lando Maeda, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind EMALSAC F.C's goalkeeper Leobardo Bezanilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. S.M.O PAITA were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
