Roman Diaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Cerrabe in the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Lionel-Andrés Newell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karlo Ferreros. Unión Huaral's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lionel-Andrés Newell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Karlo Ferreros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Newell, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Unión Huaral booed when Universitario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. 杜升强 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karlo Ferreros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Newell, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lionel-Andrés Newell in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karlo Ferreros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Universitario's Lionel-Andrés Newell in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unión Huaral's goalie prevented a goal. Karlo Ferreros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lionel-Andrés Newell's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Salvador Montrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karlo Ferreros having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Lionel-Andrés Newell made a precise shot to the right of Karlo Ferreros. Unión Huaral's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Lionel-Andrés Newell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Lionel-Andrés Newell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karlo Ferreros. Unión Huaral's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lionel-Andrés Newell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Lionel-Andrés Newell took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karlo Ferreros. Karlo Ferreros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Unión Huaral's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Lionel-Andrés Newell scored to the left of an out of position Karlo Ferreros, making the score, 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Universitario's Douglas de Mendonça was substituted for Salvador Montrell. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvino Cavia made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lionel-Andrés Newell in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karlo Ferreros saved Unión Huaral from getting behind. Karlo Ferreros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Masdeu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Serafo Reinosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lionel-Andrés Newell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serafo Reinosa charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafo Reinosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serafo Reinosa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Karlo Ferreros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel-Andrés Newell in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Lionel-Andrés Newell notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Unión Huaral's Karlo Ferreros. Karlo Ferreros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the game, Universitario's Lionel-Andrés Newell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karlo Ferreros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Unión Huaral's Karlo Ferreros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lionel-Andrés Newell in the 69th minute of play. If Lionel-Andrés Newell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 78 minutes into the match, Unión Huaral's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Newell came free, but Karlo Ferreros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Universitario made a substitution. Branislav Vitev replaced 杜升强. Universitario's Mon Postigo was substituted for Lionel-Andrés Newell. In the 81st minute of the game Ladislao Asur made a throw-in which Douglas de Mendonça played forward. Mon Postigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karlo Ferreros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mon Postigo ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, Unión Huaral's goal looked a bit too open when Mon Postigo came free, but Karlo Ferreros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Mon Postigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karlo Ferreros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Unión Huaral's zone, Mon Postigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karlo Ferreros came out of the goal and Mon Postigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 91st play minutes Mon Postigo shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Karlo Ferreros and just under the crossbar into goal. Douglas de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Karlo Ferreros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitario. When the referee ended the match the Universitario players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
