Haitz Betoño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Lando Malvido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute Haitz Betoño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lando Malvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haitz Betoño in the 8th minute of play forced Yomblom FC's goalkeeper Lando Malvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Honesto Noguerol made a precise shot to the right of Lando Malvido. Yomblom FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Lando Malvido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xarles Rascon in the 15th minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Haitz Betoño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yomblom FC's Lando Malvido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lando Malvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honesto Noguerol in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haitz Betoño in the 31st minute of play forced Yomblom FC's goalkeeper Lando Malvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Xarles Rascon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yomblom FC's Lando Malvido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honesto Noguerol in the 39th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haitz Betoño to make the kick off. Lando Malvido was a little too slow when Haitz Betoño got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-3. 55 minutes into the match, Haitz Betoño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lando Malvido. Yomblom FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haitz Betoño was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Lando Malvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haitz Betoño, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evelio Gandarias during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Yomblom FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Evelio Gandarias hit a great ball. Xarles Rascon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, UNIVERSITARIO's Haitz Betoño nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lando Malvido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After 86th play minutes Haitz Betoño shot 0-7, a short shot which went by Lando Malvido and just under the crossbar into goal. UNIVERSITARIO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
