Cienciano Cusco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 41 minutes into the match, Pomamayo's goal looked a bit too open when Gipuzkoa Sobrado came free, but Cebo Proaño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Garzon to make the kick off. Gipuzkoa Sobrado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Cebo Proaño made a huge save. In the 54th minute Angelino Blanquel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cebo Proaño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cebo Proaño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Lobregon, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Cebo Proaño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neto Correa in the 60th minute of play. If Gipuzkoa Sobrado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Neto Correa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Fabio Garzon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Confesor Llamazares. Cienciano Cusco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Garzon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Cienciano Cusco played a much better game than Pomamayo and deserved their victory. The Pomamayo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
