After a defensive mix-up in Pedasi's zone, Rafael Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Mendieta came out of the goal and Rafael Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Pedasi's Alejandro Batista in 19 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Toto Pinilla guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Alejandro Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Pedasi's Alejandro Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toto Pinilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alejandro Batista fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedasi's protests and gave Alejandro Batista a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pedasi getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. A collision led to Pedasi getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luis Ríos hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Raul Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejandro Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toto Pinilla having to interfere. Humberto Barrera hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Nicolás Gutierrez hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Mario Mendoza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chimán F.C.'s Toto Pinilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alejandro Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedasi's Raul Ramos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Toto Pinilla . That made the score 1-2 after 89 minutes of play. Américo Mendieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Ortega in the 94th minute of the match. Toto Pinilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alejandro Batista went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Pedasi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
