In the 6th minute Giancarlo Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Mendieta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Chepo F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Chepo F.C.'s Giancarlo Rios looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Giancarlo Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Mendieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Escalona in the 15th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Franklin Benavides who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pedasi's Américo Mendieta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eloy Escalona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Ríos's late challenge caught a Chepo F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Ríos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Luis Ríos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Escalona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Mendieta having to interfere. Alejandro Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Eloy Escalona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Pedasi's Américo Mendieta. Américo Mendieta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute, Agustin Bultrón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Alexander Valdez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pedasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Valdez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calito Herrera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eloy Escalona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the game, Chepo F.C.'s Giancarlo Rios nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Américo Mendieta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Giancarlo Rios sped through Pedasi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Américo Mendieta. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After a rather tough play, Chepo F.C.'s Giancarlo Rios got a free kick in the 51st minute. Américo Mendieta didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Chepo F.C.'s Eloy Escalona shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-5 in the ordered_time% minute. Giancarlo Rios in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Américo Mendieta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedasi's Américo Mendieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Escalona in the 78th minute of play. Pedasi's Américo Mendieta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Pedasi from getting a goal against them. Chepo F.C.'s Giancarlo Rios was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Giancarlo Rios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Américo Mendieta made a huge save. Chepo F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
