Enrique Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Gómez having to interfere. Felipe Gómez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Quirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Mañanitas's goalkeeper Andrés Centella had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio De Gracia. Antonio De Gracia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Centella having to interfere. Andrés Centella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luchito Espino in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Escobar in the 27th minute of play forced chitre fc's goalkeeper Felipe Gómez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When chitre fc's Antonio De Gracia in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Agustin Chavez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrés Centella having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Antonio De Gracia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as chitre fc's Antonio De Gracia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andrés Centella. That made the score 1-0 after 45 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luchito Espino to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, chitre fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Chavez to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 52 minutes, Enrique Escobar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mañanitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Escobar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mañanitas booed when chitre fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Ortega didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Mañanitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Escobar to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute Luchito Espino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Centella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luchito Espino scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrés Centella, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonio De Gracia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Andrés Centella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Agustin Chavez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio De Gracia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Escobar came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Felipe Gómez could save by the left post. Enrique Escobar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, Mañanitas's Carlos Amaya got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Felipe Gómez. After 96 played minutes chitre fc got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Navarro. Carlos Amaya, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. chitre fc were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
