The La Villa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francesco Peren should have stopped the shot. Reinaldo Pérez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Aizprua showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 10 minute of play. In the 18th minute, La Villa's Milton Ramirez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Max Toledano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Reinaldo Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Aizprua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Miguel Aizprua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Miguel Aizprua blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reinaldo Pérez having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Aizprua to strike the kick off in the second half. María Chiquita's Reinaldo Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Ramirez in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Guillermo Ulloa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Alfaro hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. La Villa's Francesco Peren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Herbruger in the 61st minute of play. Francesco Peren made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Monchi Gutierrez sent off a good shot on target. When Guillermo Ulloa fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored María Chiquita's protests and gave Guillermo Ulloa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to María Chiquita getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Guillermo Ulloa hit a great ball. Reinaldo Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milton Ramirez in the 76th minute of the match. Milton Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Sebastián Fernandez had to leave the field with a concussion. 80 minutes into the game, Juan Herbruger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Aizprua in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reinaldo Pérez saved María Chiquita from getting behind. 92 minutes into the game, Milton Ramirez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Reinaldo Pérez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Herbruger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Francesco Peren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Villa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
