Seating: 0, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Juan Lao got the match started through his kick off. El Cortezo's Jorge Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Lindholm in the 3rd minute of play. Vali Dominte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Gutierrez having to interfere. Jorge Gutierrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Lindholm in the 7th minute of the match. After 8 minutes El Cortezo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Lao who took care of the corner kick. Marcos Mendieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucho Caballero, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Club Atlético Pixbae's Juan Lao made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Gutierrez was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Club Atlético Pixbae booed when El Cortezo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Garcia got in the 21st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jorge Gutierrez handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Juan Lao sped through El Cortezo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorge Gutierrez. In the 26th minute, Reinaldo Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Mendieta. Club Atlético Pixbae's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Vali Dominte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juan Lao's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Jorge Gutierrez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Vali Dominte came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Club Atlético Pixbae fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vali Dominte couldn't finish the play. Luis Zambrano kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Göran Lindholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The wind increased when Reinaldo Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Vali Dominte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Gutierrez having to interfere. Göran Lindholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jorge Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Murillo in the 58th minute of play forced Club Atlético Pixbae's goalkeeper Marcos Mendieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Lao in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Gutierrez saved El Cortezo from getting behind. Göran Lindholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, El Cortezo's Alexander Pimentel got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Rigoberto Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Juan Lao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Gutierrez. El Cortezo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Lao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Jorge Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Lao in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Vali Dominte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Gutierrez. El Cortezo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vali Dominte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Vali Dominte notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of El Cortezo's Jorge Gutierrez. Jorge Gutierrez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Lao in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Gutierrez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89thth minute of the game Juan Lao who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Cortezo's Jorge Gutierrez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juan Lao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Gutierrez having to interfere. Marcos Mendieta made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Lucho Caballero sent off a good shot on target. Göran Lindholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jorge Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético Pixbae's Juan Lao got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atlético Pixbae's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
