The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Orozco got free with Martín Quintero in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Las Cumbres F.C.'s Martín Quintero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romel Pimentel in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, El Espavé's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Spadafora came free, but Calito Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th of the match, Julio Spadafora tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Calito Tello got in the way and made a wonderful save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Orozco in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martín Quintero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 63 played minutes El Espavé got a freekick which was hit by Heraclides Mendoza. The long shot by Rafael Corral in the 64th minute really tested Calito Tello's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 72 minutes into the match, El Espavé's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Spadafora came free, but Calito Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moisés Torrijos's late challenge caught a Las Cumbres F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martín Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Orozco in the 91st minute of play. After 93 played minutes Las Cumbres F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luis Zapata. After having played for 97 minutes, Edgardo Orozco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Espavé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Orozco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
