With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toto Posam in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Oberto saved Las Cumbres from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Las Cumbres's José Villalaz got a free kick in the 56th minute. Pedro Oberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toto Posam in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Martín Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Las Cumbres and the Club Atletico Nacional players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Las Cumbres got a freekick which was hit by Martín Arias. Alejandro Morris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Rios went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of Club Atletico Nacional booed when Las Cumbres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Villalaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Oberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toto Posam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Martín Arias put in a rough tackle. In the 86th minute, one of Las Cumbres:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Las Cumbres. 93 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Nacional's Åke Asmundsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Oberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Oberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toto Posam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atletico Nacional played a much better game than Las Cumbres and deserved their victory. The Las Cumbres players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
