After some careless play in the Las Cumbres defense, Lucho Benavides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Oberto. The Las Cumbres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Oberto should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Bethania F.C.'s Mario Toledano got control of the ball when Orlando Rios tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luchito Carrillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Toledano having to interfere. Orlando Rios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luchito Carrillo in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Toledano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucho Benavides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Oberto having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Lucho Benavides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bethania F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucho Benavides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucho Benavides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucho Benavides took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Oberto. Pedro Oberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alberto Ramírez hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Luchito Carrillo struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mario Toledano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Las Cumbres.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luchito Carrillo to make the kick off. If Luchito Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrés Cedeño's late challenge caught a Las Cumbres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrés Cedeño helped the player get up and apologised. 74 minutes into the game, Rolando Pimentel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Mario Toledano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Luchito Carrillo made a precise shot to the right of Mario Toledano. Bethania F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2.
