Pedro Oberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Vergara's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Orlando Rios notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of victoria25 F.C's Christian Bermudez. Christian Bermudez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christian Bermudez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luchito Carrillo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in victoria25 F.C's zone, Orlando Rios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Bermudez came out of the goal and Orlando Rios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joe Tello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Oberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Christian Bermudez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luchito Carrillo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Luchito Carrillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Bermudez having to interfere. If Joe Tello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Oberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Vergara in the 39th minute of play. Joe Tello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Orlando Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Las Cumbres's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Rios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Bermudez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The victoria25 F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Las Cumbres were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Alexander Vergara made the kick off in the second half.
